Registration

This version of HTML Author is shareware. This means that you are allowed to use it for a limited period (30 days) for evaluation purposes. After this period, you must register your use of HTML Author. Registered users will be recorded in a database and informed of new versions and bug fixes, will receive a limited amount of EMail support for at least six months after registration. The current fee for registration and continued use of the software is 28 pounds sterling for each computer on which HTML Author is installed. Other currencies are acceptable provided you add 10% to your local currency equivalent based on the exchange rate at the time of posting.

To register, send a completed, signed registration form (see below) together with the registration fee to:

You will receive a notification containing your name, a registration number and a Personal Identification Number. Once these are entered using the Register HTML Author command fromthe HTML Author menu, the reminder screen will stop appearing, and your registration number will be inserted at the head of each HTML file generated in place of the "unregistered copy" statement.

If you wish to pass the software on to other users (under the shareware arrangements), please refer them to the original source at Salford so that they can obtain the most up-to-date version.

Educational Use

Special rates are available on request for the use of HTML Author for genuine educational purposes. Such concessions will be limited to the use of the package by students and teachers as part of a taught course or module for the purpose of learning or gaining experience in authoring World Wide Web pages.

The HTML Author software and this manual are Copyright © 1995-1996 Grahame S Cooper. They are provided as seen, without warranty or guarantee. HTML Author is produced solely to assist the user in preparing Word documents and converting them into a form suitable for viewing with a World Wide Web browser. Responsibility for the correctness of documents produced rests entirely with the user. The author and suppliers do not accept any liability for errors or faults in the software or any damage arising from the use of the software. Use of HTML Author represents acceptance of these conditions of use.
